Mention the importance of the workplace in the hospitality industry:

• Discuss how hospitality workplaces are unique: fast-paced, people-facing, and multi-

departmental.
• Explain that this creates both opportunities and risks: good culture can enhance service,

poor culture causes stress and conflict.
• Point out that structure, respectful leadership and teamwork are essential.

➢ Invite and encourage participants to share a workplace challenge they believe was linked
to 'culture' rather than a formal policy.
